Began judging in 1974 and is a Kennel Union of Southern Africa & FCI all breeds judge passed to award CC's (CACIB's) in all breeds in all FCI countries.
Has judged in Australia (including the Sydney Spring Fair, Dalwood International & Toowoomba Royal( x 2)--,Brazil [Sao Paulo International 2009],-- Canada,-- India,-- Indonesia (x 2),-- Namibia-- Norway,-- & Zambia.Judging in New Zealand and Holland in 2010
Has been involved with dogs all her life. As a child worked in her father's hunting kennel with Beagles, Fox Hounds, Harriers and Irish Terriers. Started breeding and showing in 1967 with Irish Terriers. Later went into partnership in Afghans, having BIS winners. Then a few years later introduced Wire Haired Fox Terriers into the kennel, and in 1979 imported two Welsh Terriers from Michael Collins of Purston Kennels in England. In 1981 the male, an English Champion, won SA supreme champion - a contest of all breed BIS winners. The prize was a trip to an FCI International show in Europe and they exhibited in Berne (Switzerland) and Luxemburg. Imported two Bichon Frise from the USA and over the years three more from England. Has been in partnership with Wendy Streatfield of the Leander Bichons (UK) for 18 years, and have had numerous BIS wins. In 1995 imported a Griffon Bruxellois from England. Currently still exhibiting Irish Terriers, and Miniature Poodle. Has handled the following breeds to BIS level - Irish Terrier, Bichon Frise, Welsh Terrier, Wire Haired Fox Terrier, Kerry Blue Terriers and Afghan Hounds.
Has been professionally involved with dogs since 1975, first through a very large boarding kennel and later a grooming parlour. Served as Club Secretary of the Natal Terrier Club for 30 years (now Club Vice President).
